I don't know. I liked what he had to say. He is right about backstory being irrelevant and reminds me of Luigi Pirandello. As for New York being better than L.A., I found his comments liberating, not offensive. Why would John Lennon and Woody Allen live in New York if it was not superior? They both didn't drive and could live anywhere. On the face of it, it was a good interview. The only thing I would question is his insistence on dialogue. Kenneth Anger never put dialogue in his films and they are pretty good. So it depends on what your goal is.
Of course it is "The Wizard of Oz". It is not only the most popular movie of all time, but also the best. The scene in the end with the hot air balloon from the Omaha State Fair is probably the best scene in cinematic history. Wonderful performances from Judy Garland, Bert Lahr, Jack Haley, Frank Morgan and Billie Burke round out this all-time favorite. It is a classic for the ages. "There is no place like home".
