At the age of twelve in 2001, the young Jordy Vandeput, bought his first camera with all the money he had. A new passion had started as he was creating videos of him and his friend skateboarding.
During the time, Jordy had a big interest in finding new ways to make his videos look better. He experimented with his camera and different video editing programs.
But during that time in 2005, it wasn’t so easy to find good tutorial videos or articles that would explain the art. That’s why Jordy decided to create tutorial videos for other people with the same interests like him.
Since Jordy was one of the pioneers on the video sharing website Youtube, his tutorial videos where viewed by more than half a million people in 2 years time. Because of this success, Jordy decided to start an organisation named Yapper Design in 2007.
Together with three other friends they created various online content such as tutorials, designer bundles and creative films. Their main goal was to give support to other filmmakers.
In 2009, Jordy got into the film school of Brussels. There he learned what film making truly was about. Many new tutorial videos showed up on Youtube and his website from the new things he was learning.
After his graduation in 2012, Jordy started his company “Cinecom” right away. His live got a new meaning as his work got more serious. There were clients to deal with, money had to be made and everyone from Yapper Design were slowly heading towards new paths.
Jordy never let go of online teaching, he even took it more serious as he started working for Tuts+ in the same year he started his company.
In 2015 Jordy decided to relaunch his old project under the new name Cinecom.net. With 3 years of experience in professional film making, online teaching and entrepreneurship, the new project is stronger than ever.
What 2016 shall hold is not certain yet, but goals have been made and we aim for them.
