How can this piece of... plastic... be so expensive?!?
It cost over 10 times more than a similar DiCAPac and more than twice than a proper 40m underwater housing.
Is this a sponsored content? I am lost here.
If there is any DJI executive reading the comments of this sponsored content: please, rather invest the money in some contest! There is a lot of creative people who would wonders with a fraction of the cost of such expensive ads production videos.
If you take into account that many don't even "direct" the movies they are credited for, yes. It would be interesting to see working many "directors" who never directed anything and out of the blue have a blockbuster title commissioned. For not talking about some actors credited as directors, it will be interesting to see their work from pre-prod to past-prod BTS.
Hi guys at NFS! Would it be possible that your articles are not so much "American-oriented"? Film is a worldwide art and industry, so are your readers and in the last months some critical minds are getting the impression that films have been and are only made in an Anglophone world (with the exception of Kurosawa) if we just look at what you publish.
How about re-posting less articles from the American press and finding some quality content abroad? Or creating your own? Good content takes a lit bit of extra time than just sharing links to what others wrote.
This used to be my favorite film related website, but since over one year or so, the quality and creativity of the editors' post is going downwards.
Ironicly, it seems that some who have mastered the feature-film making don't have a clue of the particular aesthetichs and story-telling of the short-film medium.
It hurt so much my eyes that I stoped at 2:40.
I guess for big corporations it is just a matter of numbers… if cannibalizing or not their own products… Therefore I’d have loved to read some data estimations about how many less videocamaras would Canon have sold because of a good-featured 5D Mark III. Would have in worth to sell more DSLR and less videocameras? Would that be more profitable for the stakeholders?
A GH4-like 5D Mark III would have wiped out the rest of the competition. We had to wait for others to innovate and in the process somehow we all lost about 5 years because Canon didn’t fully embrace the revolution they stared as Panny or Sony did years later.
I guess they didn’t understood that for some buyers who need a hybrid that takes stills and video, it doesn’t matter how good their videocameras are. And that for other people, they just can’t afford more than $2k-3k for a full system.
I had to get rid of my Canon bodies and some of the lenses and jump into the Sony wagon and somehow it feels more sad than disappointing, that such an historical chance was wasted by Canon. They would have make our lives much easier and we would have achieved the point where we are today much earlier, if they had consulted some kids who record their pals skateboarding.
