Article Comment – Watch: Steven Spielberg's Tools for Creating Suspense

Please...get your terms correct before you begin. Granted, Spielberg is a genius, but you... not so much. Anyone who doesn't understand the difference between a 'pan' and a 'tilt' should be ashamed. The camera 'tilts' upward from the closeup of the man's neck being shaved to the closeup of the woman doing the shaving. It DOES NOT 'PAN'. Pan is from 'panorama'...moving the camera from left to right or right to left. I realize this is picky, picky stuff but it's one of the things that separates the men from the boys.

You went to a helluva lot of trouble to get your 'beauty shot' yet the illusion was immediately broken with the table the vehicle sat upon. At least, set the car on something that resembles the ground.

Great video! Motivational. However...You 'tilt ' the camera up and down. A 'pan' (short for panorama) is a camera move from left to right or right to left.
