Article Comment – Canon Announces 7D Mark II with 1080p 60fps

At least they're not fanboy issues.

Article Comment – Meet the New Samsung NX1, a 4K Mirrorless Camera that Encodes to H.265

Is H265 trying to compete on the delivery or the capture? Or both? Could it ever take the place of ProRes or Xvac? I would definitely prefer it over avchd. Wonder how close it is to lossless? Thanks

Article Comment – We've Got Our First Hint at the Native ISO of the AJA CION

If they used the same sensor as BM's ursa they should've went one step further and made it interchangeable too. It's a beautiful crafted camera, timeless design but at the rate we're seeing technology progress it's been outdated almost a year maybe 2

Article Comment – Sony FS7: New Super 35mm E-Mount Camera with Internal 4K Up to 60FPS

Internal 4k, non obtrusive add on to get 12 bit RAW with odyssey or shogun, internal 10 bit 422, fantastic codec, ProRes down the road and it looks like a solid piece of kit. Nice design, easy to handle. Half the cost of the F5... I'm in! Seems like by the time the F5 cycles through we'll be looking at 6k. This will still be a hell of a camera as will the 12bit fs700/7q system for quite sometime.

Article Comment – A Review of the Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4: Is It Really the Best Lens in the World?

What's that old saying? If you have to ask the price you probably can't afford it. Of course I love this lens, ( I cant afford it either) I'm sure it's great but we won't know until we see it's character against other lenses in that category. I'm not overly sold on those DxO scores, they may point out the best aspects but as we know the real world is what counts the most. It's a shame it's not an anamorphic lens, then it would be dirt cheap.
