Article Comment – QuantumFilm Is an Exciting New Sensor Technology that Results in Higher Dynamic Range

Hard to judge the sensor accurately when they have put such poor quality glass in front of it. Every image is flooded with the chromatic aberration and diffusion.

Article Comment – The World's Largest Library of Animal Sounds Is Now Online & Ready for Licensing

It's funny when you're the content creator and people are asking it for cheap... suddenly it's a completely different story ;-)

Article Comment – How ‘The Martian’ Cleverly Drops Multiple F-Bombs & Still Gets a PG-13 Rating

Thanks, very interesting article!

Does make you realise that sometimes tiny script changes can massively alter a films potential audience and hence revenue by gaining a certificate that allows it to be seen by a wider audience.

Article Comment – Create 3 Atmospheres in 1 Room (& Pull Off Great Lighting SFX) with This Clever Tutorial

They should have used an HMI light for the sun outside the window rather than a Tungsten with a CTB gel. D65 Sunlight has a very specific set of frequencies (that we are very used to seeing) that Tungsten just can't emulate. Cutting out more frequencies using a gel to simply shift the colour temperature just isn't enough. Hence why it looks a bit "fake" or staged.

Article Comment – RED RAVEN Camera is Official: $6K for 4K RAW to 120fps & 2K ProRes to 60fps

Fixed EF Mount? Why bother paying that much for a camera when you don't have the option to put decent glass on it?...

Article Comment – New Apple TV Adds Siri Functionality & Proves the Company Still Hates Buttons

I was a bit worried as I've only recently bought the original apple TV box, but in all honesty, without 4K it's a big resounding "MEH". Especially strange considering how they have released the iPhone 6s with 4K video, but no real way or solution for viewing it back unless you own a 5K imac. Would have loved to be able to stream 4K iphone 6s video to my 4K TV at home.

...Come back again Apple when you have something worth my money.
