Article Comment – Sony Announces the PXW-FS5, a Small 4K Cinema Camera with Electronic Variable ND Filter

This is an absolute dream camera... had the opportunity to handle it today at IBC in Amsterdam.... coupled with an Atomos Shogun you will get a package of less then 7000 euro that a season ago has the specifications of a 50.000 euro camera.

Great form factor, super light weight, great handle that is easily tiltable, a screen that can easily be put in different positions, you can use the camera without the side and top handle on a drone with all functions still available...

And a great codec in 442 10 bit at 1080...

Article Comment – This BTS Video Shows off the Cinematic Acrobatics of the BOLT High-Speed Cinebot

For a youth project we did on robotics, where kids learned to program we asked Alex de Heus from Motion Control Europe to come and demonstrate the Bolt to us... It is amazing the see the type of movements this robot can handle in 3D space and replicate them so accurately time and time again...

For all the Dutch speakers, you can see the Bolt in action at 1:04 here (http://vimeo.com/80678161) in this little aftermovie from this educational program we organised. Alex is a very nice and generous guy, we appreciate his work very much.

By the way, did you know that Upside Down (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1374992/) was also filmed in parts with the Bolt... where in two different studios they would replicate the exact same camera movement in order to mix both worlds together?
