God no please! Red have built a business making their customers their beta testers. Which I guess is fine if you like to tinker but I exited the red ecosystem after my second red body because I was tired of the constant maintenance with black shading, firmware fixes, bugs and the temperamental nature of the system. The trouble with this method is that you spend more time worrying about the camera and less time on what's in front of it.
The title says he "threw away the rule book", what rule book exactly?
To me it seems like a highly skilled DP doing what DP's do and no need for the hyperbole.
"BILINGUAL ENGLISH-FRENCH EDITION"
For God’s sake, you could at least spell the DP’s name correctly.
Cannot state how critical it is to format the card in the camera you're using. And never delete files using a computer. I had an incident where 1/2 a day of footage from a Canon R was corrupted and un-recoverable.The card had previously been used in a Sony compact and wasn't formatted for the Canon. Thankfully it was B cam bonus shots, not critical to the final edit.
Stunning visuals but painfully slow plot. If course the dp wants a longer version lol.
