All the best
Thank you very much for your answer. Exactly the kind of knowledge i needed.
all the best
I think GH4 might be the right one for me. I'm not a pro colorist at all!! and I still have a lot to learn about composition and editing, and pretty much everything. Without getting to mad about tech and spending tons cash, the GH4 seems perfect,.
Thanks for your comment
Take it easy
You read my mind. When I've thought about the GH4 I have also consider the metabolise speedboster (since Ive a couple of Canon glasses that would be good to be able to keep using) and, eventually, the Atoms Shogun or an equivalent for 4K 10bit rec. With all of that the GH4 goes up to around $3k. Which is around the price of the Ursa Mini (though I;m aware that this cam needs a good few add ons to get it working so in reality it is more expensive)
I think I'll go for a GH4 without any extras for now. I don't really need a higher end camera for the kinda stuff I;m doing. If I'm honest i'm just learning and I need to keep an eye on getting overexcited about technology. The GH4 seems an amazing machine which should be able to do everything I want to and more. And it's also a very upgradeable investment.
Would you have any specific recommendations for lenses for the GH4? Whether Canon, Micro four thirds or other mount... might not need to speedboster and just change my canon lenses.
Again, thank you very much for your help
Take care
Thanks for the reply Dean
Yeah, as far as i understand too, the new BM's are basically the pocket and the studio in new clothes. thanks for letting me know about the moire and aliasing in the studio. that;s that one out of my mind then.
How's the GH4 footage in post, when you're pushing colour? I know that the H264 out of my 650d isn't very post friendly. I suppose this is the big thing between the GH4 and the BM's but I wonder how big that difference really is in reality.
Thank you again
Oh really sorry to hear that man. Hopefully you'll get your problem solved or your money back.
Would you mind telling me in what way it does not work? is it just one or two things or the whole thing is just shambles?
Thanks and good luck with it
