So no live view of the actual cinemascope footage AND it has to be destrechted in post? What's the purpose of it then? Why not use 4:3 UHD photo mode video recording or native 4k and crop the sides manually?
Maybe an anamorphic shooter can elaborate :)
I wanted to try Color Finale for some time now, but the "Try Now" button is broken since its launch. Always just shows an empty white box in every browser I've tried
I'm a little confused. Isn't the 4:3 photo mode video recording full 4k? So why is the anamorphic version only 3.3k? Will the crop be even higher than the standard 2.3x crop of the gh4? Then it would come close to 3x crop which would be extremely high.
I would ve loved to see 21:9 4,5k recording. It's around the same amount of pixels compared to 4k 16:9 and that way there'd only be a 2x crop + even higher resolution. This can't have been so hard so implement....
i havent tested this as the update isnt available yet, but it seems like this popular "milky blacks and whites"-look.
you should be able to achieve something very similar by lifting the output black level to something between 5-25 (meaning 0% black isnt 0% black anymore) and lowering the white point accordingly.
i like the saturation controls for certain color tones, but it also brings up the question why they would only implement this feature for saturation? why not includes tone specific controls for luminance and hue as well. just like it is in lightroom, since they mentioned it so often.
this way it looks very uncomplete. a nice addtion, but uncomplete.
Same here. I saw the concept video a few months back but didn't believe they would implement it so quickly.
Great changes overall! Hope my cc app shows me the updates soon :)
