Article Comment – Watch: How An Organized Workflow Can Help You Be A More Creative Editor

Well First off for us editing begins with shooting Meaning a detailed shot list and clear detailed slating for each camera. Once all the footage is loaded then we take it and categorize files in accordance to the shot type Scene, CU MCU WS etc and we also give them a number just to keep order. So we have files and sub files before we even switch on the editing program... Vegas Pro 13 in our case. It can get to be a mess and you can spend hours of wasted time if you do not organize first and have a detailed visual plan. Hey Im not a great editor but because of that I need to be organized otherwise I'm lost.
