How can people complain about "that weird price tag"?
It's a high-end professional sports camera that now got that 4K gimmig on top. Not a single person that buys this cam will do it for its video capabilities in the first place.
From a photographic point of view, one can't mention any Sony cam with this in one sentence. Not everything that can shoot video is aimed for the video shooter market.
URSA Mini 4.6k base ISO is 800.
Max is at 1600, maybe 3200.
C-log could realistically be implemented, maybe in a 5Dc that'd bring 4K/30 and 1080/60. 10bit hdmi out is still just a wish though.
I agree Arvin, Ursa Mini 4.6k won't shine in lowlight, even if it'll be better than the old 4K sensor. More than ISO 1600/3200 won't be possible. But internal 4.6K/60p 12bit RAW/ProRes vs. 4K/30p 8bit XAVC-L in the same form factor but with better ergonomics seems to be a no brainer to me.
I'll rent the FS5 for some event shootings though where I won't need that terrific BM color science.
I found the ergonomics of the FS7 horrible. If they don't change that aspect (especially the menu), I'll never buy a Sony ever.
URSA Mini 4.6k still outperforms the FS5 in almost all aspects apart from ultra slowmotion.
your comparison as a "more expensive a7rii" just showed your lack of information what this camera does and who it is designed for. a7rii and 1dxII are two absolutely different type of cameras and not comparable in any situation.
this is a super highend sports flagship camera that was released just early enough before Olympia aiming for speed, reliability and resistance and that can by the way record 4K/60p in a 800MB/s bitrate. if you're not sure which one to buy you're not the person canon is aiming for with this camera.
