I am a Nicaraguan micro-budget filmmaker based in Queens, New York.
I have been honing my filmmaking nerves since 2008, mainly through my work coordinating a media workshop at a non-profit in West Harlem. This workshop provides me the opportunity to work with a community of formerly incarcerated men and women, many of whom have journeyed through the darkest. They often challenge my ability to find the humanity beyond the transgression … or the humanity in the transgression.
Over the last five years I have produced, directed and shot two unreleased documentaries, five HDSLR web shorts and have written three short dramatic scripts: "A Lonely Room," co-written with Jamila Jones, "… if tomorrow comes" and "Whisper Bench".
I have just finished putting together my post-production room at my apartment and I am excited about what lies ahead.
