Sandeep Gill is a commercials and narrative film director based in London and New York, with work spanning the planet. His background and experience is refreshingly eclectic leading to creative threads woven through his work which are fundamentally unique. His debut short film, Dwell (2021), followed his experimental approach to art by filming an entire narrative work during the first UK lockdown in March 2020 using only his house as his single location, himself as the sole crew member, and his mother as the only person in front of camera. He’s worked with the form of theatre by collaborating on several theatrical hybrid film/live action productions including an epic theatrical adaptation of Tarsem Singh's The Fall, working with the globally renowned director himself.
Years of creative experimentation has given him the opportunity to form a rare voice. His experience in fashion and advertising has allowed him to create for global prestigious brands such as Hermes and Vogue Italia and his beginnings in tech nurtured early experimentations.
His degrees in Immunology and Infection & Immunity have given him a distinctive perspective during a time of great upheaval and progress, and through it, his future work.
