I have spent 35+ years mastering Tai Chi and kung Fu and now I have fallen in love with video production while trying to document everything I have learned.
You might change you thoughts totally and get a Sony z150. Includes a great lens. Dedicated video sensor. Plus it will soon receive HDR and HLG. Its 10 Bit.... And its a camcorder so its built to shoot video. built in ND.... We jumped from the mirrorless to FS5. But that will be out of your budget. Good luck
Love to see a comparison between this lens and the new Sony 18 - 105 power zoom and the Sony full frame 28 - 135 power zoom. Both Sony lenses are parfocal with minimized, or eliminated, focus breathing. Price point is the same, or lower, for the Sony lenses. This lens is obviously faster though.
The Digital Bolex is a really sexy camera. When I first saw it, I thought it was a bit ahead of our skill level. But the global shutter 12bit 4.4.4. wow. I would love to have a global shutter. Currently we are finishing our Staff and Spear videos. At times I am spinning the staff, or spear, around my body really fast, and with the A7Sii looks like a giant noodle flexing. I know we are basically creating a perfect storm for global shutter with this! A little flex would be OK because in reality, the spear, or staff, does flex a little because of the rattan, or waxwood, used is designed to flex rather than break, but it is way over the top. Really sad the Digital Bolex closed up shop. Such a cool little company and American made!
that makes so much sense! Thank you
Softair used to make a licensed replica smith and wesson m500 revolver, chromed, full metal, with co2. For your dirty hairy scenes.....
We take a vinyl table cloth and we wrap it around the tripod for transport. We lay this on the ground to help keep dirt out of our gear when we take the backpacks off. A good thermos of strong coffee and many chocolate bars are pretty good to keep going too!
