4K50/60 used H.265
that's what they said in the Newshooter.com interview...
Touch strip is awesome. It makes up for the interface limitations editing on a laptop, and then some!
Stuck at 16GB memory...stuck with single internal drive....stuck having to carry a minimum of 4 adapter cables. Um, yeah, no thank you.
I would be seriously tempted if it was less macbook air sleek and more old Mac Pro tower robust/expandable/configurable.
Disposable computers. This is what apple wants, it's what their entire hardware offering is becoming.
Buy the camera you need, not the one you want. The one you need will remain productive for a lot longer than your changing desires for the latest/greatest.
Invest in glass.
With the sole exception of lacking 60p at 4K....this camera has much better video specs than the Canon 1Dx mark II.
Well played Sony, well played...
4K at 60p is great, but it's windowed :/
HD recording is 4:2:0
No 4K output, but at least the HD is clean, 4:2:2
Overall, it's an underwhelming camera. Very incremental and limited to protect their higher $$$ cine cameras.
I'm not quite sure why a $10K-20K camera cannot record 4K Prores when a $2K Odyssey 7Q can. Surely the licensing (if there is any) can't be THAT expensive and since all of these camera can do 4K raw...why no 4K Prores?
Or is this simply to protect the high end cameras?
