Setting my digital beauties aside for 2019 and shooting all narrative projects on film
I'll just switch from my Alexa to my Red. XD
I love Mathieu's work. He does so much experimentation and passes on these ingenious finds to us. People who aren't following his videos are missing out on incredibly useful DP tools.
Oddly, I've noticed the prices of specific, vintage lenses tend to skyrocket on eBay after he puts up a video. If you're considering buying one of the lenses he mentions, it's best to jump on it as soon as he posts his videos. If Mathieu isn't running an eBay store, selling lenses, he's missing out on a goldmine.
Anyway, I just ordered my MIR-1B. Pumped.
I'm sure the info is somewhere, but I missed if Project Greenlight requires you to have a full screenplay ready to go or if you're merely pitching a concept?
Color blind or not, I made a video specifically about the color in Bronson: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQunOFr7kGM - I think Refn harnesses color better than most working directors today!
