I am currently working on a low budget horror film called S'happens.
Have the opening scene for the short horror film "Soulless" posted:

I welcome comments, suggestions, tips, advise or even your own version of it! It will be fun to see how we all pictured it differently!!
I am mostly working on S'happens script but wanted to get something to get the conversation started... and hopefully interest from waning!

here is one I wrote about what I am thinking before I even start trying to write the script, enjoy!

I finished the short story! I will be writing the script for the short film "soulless". I invite other newbie indie directors / scriptwriters / anyone to come and play along. I think it would be fun to see all the variations of it.

I am still working on my S'happens script so will be doing it off and on... I hope to have it done soon though! I can picture it mostly and will probably come ask how to "fix" spots I cant quite bring together like I see in my head...

Hi Sophie, please do not let a bad comment ruin this for you! It really helps the rest of us who are also new to read these! Don't bother to try to defend yourself, reply to the ones that help in a way you understand.
I am also contemplating it all in my pre-planning stage. I love that you dared to post and please do again!
Good luck with other projects! They say each film gives us needed experience so please share the others you do!

I would say go grab a good camera for taking pics and bus around the city and take lots of pics until you find a pic that inspires you then go back to your works in progress and apply it to the one that jumps out at you most...
good luck with the comps!
I guess it depends on how you think of passion... I am passionate about being a mother but it is a far from glamorous life, it is burping a splotch onto your favorite blouse, smelly diapers, no sleep, etc. but also the best thing in the world. So if I say I am passionate about filmmaking it is not meaning the act that got me pregnant in the first place (and lets be real, that passion everyone likes anyway) but the full knowledge of how hard it truly is...
I think the problem is it becomes a "buzzword" and overused. But it just means become better at spotting the trendy from the 'real'... Like everything interesting in life, it attracts those who want just the glamour without the work...
