Title should have been "BJ and the Bear".
You do realise this is NOT Tree of Life?
Tree of Life is on another level and I don't get it either but I hope I might at some stage of my life. Myself I trust Malick's work enough to not call Tree of Life bad but to hopefully one day get it.
This wipes the floor with the gopro.
Its going to be better quality than the fisheye gopro. DJI have proved that since the phantom 3.
DJI 40 mph vs gopro 35 mph
DJI 27 min vs gopro 20 min DEALBREAKER
DJI range 7 km vs gopro 1 km DEALBREAKER
Gopro fisheye DEALBREAKER
Plus DJI has its obstacle sensing system and vision positioning system, and now gestures. All that and the mavic looks a lot smaller.
These look very appealing but whoever filmed the promo videos did an awful job. Terrible blown out skies and horrible skin tones.
I don't think its these cameras because even the shots that you can tell weren't shot with these 3 are blown out and pasty skin.
Its still fisheye so no thank you. Waiting for DJI to put their x3 camera in an action camera housing.
You missed the two most important things to avoid a crash.
1. Always set your return to home altitude to higher than any tree or building in the area. This way when you loose signal to the drone and eventually you will, it will automatically RTH in a beeline to its start point and if theres a tree, building, mountain in your way setting the RTH height above any of these will keep you safe. Because its likely that very line of trees or mountain are what cause you to loose signal and it needs to fly back automatically above all these. It can only do that if a high enough RTH height is set BEFORE the flight.
2. Never fly sideways or backwards unless you have eyes on the drone. A tree or something will magically be there in that moment.
