The Screenwriter’s Anti-Manual: How to Break or Overcome Classic Story Hurdles

I like the idea of anti-plot films. Tarantino does it so well (although he sometimes takes it a little too far). You don't have to follow a strict conventional story structure and make your movies as tight wrapped as Nolan's. It's good to take a break and add scenes that doesn't move the story, but merely elaborates it. This way you can come up with more original content and original stories.

That's a very good point. Genius (and insanity) is connecting two things you normally wouldn't.
Please don't ever use videos from Cameron Carpenter again..
