Article Comment – What is a Look Up Table (LUT), Anyway?

Many librairies offer conversion LUTs for specific profiles. Vision Color with ImpulZ (http://www.vision-color.com/impulz) collection is designed for many cameras. Idem with the film look set of 90 LUTs by IWLTBAP (http://luts.iwltbap.com), the pack contains LUTs to convert LOG to Rec.709 and Rec.709 to LOG profiles.

Article Comment – FilmConvert: the Best Film Stock Emulator You've Ever Seen

FilmConvert is an excellent plugin for color grading. The included presets are well profiled, realistic and loyal to the original film prints. To recreate a cine look you can also use some LUTs. Vision-Color made a package named ImpulZ with nice emulations of film prints (like the famous Kodak Vision3). The independent filmmaker Benjamin/IWLTBAP made a pack of color grading presets as LUTs with many creative and film looks (teal-orange, film render inspired by the Kodak Vision3, etc), for LOG and Rec709 profiles. For creative looks, Vision-Color made another package named Osiris with beautiful few LUTs. These two creators give free stuffs on their respective websites: http://www.vision-color.com/ and http://luts.iwltbap.com/
Also there is James Miller who made the deluts sets with nice creative series.
