I've been telling stories with a camera since I was a kid and am lucky enough to now make a living doing it.
Totally agree! I was trying to get my rabbit ear antenna to get ABC but had to just give up, I only get a few networks and don't want to pay for the local channels when I only watch a few select things from it. They need to find a better way to broadcast it.
Rivals the 2 pro but doesn't let you adjust aperture and no side sensors? Probably better to just pick up a used 2 pro.
I noticed this too! It made it seem very amateur, like a really bad auto focus.
There are only a handful of RF lenses though, and they are really expensive. EF seems like a solid choice. This write up just sounds like you're upset because you invested in RF for another camera. It would make sense to address the majority of the market, so EF is not a surprise and there are plenty of cine EF lenses too.
The C70 is twice the price and pretty large so I think wanting full size xlr is fair.
Swiss Army Man? Hmm. As much as I love cinema, as a new dad who's baby was born in 2020 I feel like I somehow lucked out with a bunch of content to watch at home this past year, it's actually been kind of awesome that I've been able to see new releases. I think it's important to note that we are still in uncertain and scary times with covid. Can we really judge the state of cinema at a time were an audience is risking their life to watch a movie? I don't really think so. I think it will bounce back but it is taking longer than most of us expected. The plus side is that people are still consuming, the viewing experience changed but what's being viewed hasn't really, there are still audiences out there and the need for talented storytellers and filmmakers is stronger than ever.
