Article Comment – An Algorithm Wrote This Movie, and It's Somehow Amazing

I think this is the start of something that is going to make a lot of money for other people.

Article Comment – Panavison Co-Builds the World's Most Advanced Camera: 8K RAW DXL Cinema

Still shooting on the Epic MX. Over 1000 hours on the body. Thing is a tank. Only repair was I had to get an sdi and headphone jack replaced.

Boards Comment – Advice with bad attitudes

There might be a chance that you're an awful filmmaker. Which is good news! There's a lot to learn and with enough diligence you'll soon be making work that others appreciate. If you don't quit you'll make it (or at least make something one day you'll kind of be proud of : )
There's also a chance that you met some jerks... they are pretty rare. Be grateful you know how to spot them.

Boards Comment – Feedback on my short documentary

Really nice vignette. You've got tonnes of talent, the technical stuff will come with time. I agree with much of what's already been said above. If you strip down the VO, you will allow the audience to take in more of what the character is saying. I was interested in knowing more about what happened to the character when he said 'life just got crazy'. I love docs where the filmmaker provides an intimate glimpse into a character's life... maybe next time you can go a little deeper with your character?

Boards Comment – Video Devices PIX-E5H or Atomos Ninja Assassin?

E5-H is solid. Full HDMI input is a blessing compared to mini/micro. Display is sharp/crisp. Media is well thought out, great construction. Doesn't have video flip yet - that's the only drag!
