Tery Wilson

Filmmaker

My name is Tery Wilson, I’m the owner of IntrygueGraphics Media. I didn't attend film school I'm self taught. I love movies and thought it would be cool to learn how to make one. I started out doing photography but it wasn't challenging enough for me. So I started making music videos then it got interested in making comedy skits. I started making shorts and ended up working for a web series project as DP and I got to work the camera, where I cultivated a passion for visual storytelling.

Initially I didn’t have any desire to be a director, I just thought that I would learn to edit or work a camera or something. However while working on BetweenWomen, I found myself taking initiative and making crucial creative decisions and receiving praise from my peers that watched the show. So I sorta fell into directing and found that I had a passion for it and that it kinda comes natural for me since I've always been a leader.

With that said, I usually just call myself a filmmaker, because as indies everyone wears multiple hats, and “filmmaker” is the easiest way to sum up everything I do. But I guess if I could pick only one title, I would be a director.
