Teunkie Van Der Sluijs is a director working in the UK and Europe. In theatre, he has directed main house, mid-scale and studio theatre work touring - as well as directing for television. He currently works as Creative Associate at the Young Vic in London. He was course leader in directing at the University of Manchester and has worked as visiting director at the University of Salford and Rose Bruford College.

Teunkie trained on the BA Theatre Directing programme at Rose Bruford College, studied Script Development at the National Film and Television School, and he holds an MA in Theatre Studies from the University of Amsterdam. He also studied filmmaking at the London Film Academy. He was a finalist for the Quercus Award, the Leverhulme Bursary for Emerging Theatre Directors, the Young Angels Theatremakers Award and the Arches Award.
