So.....NOT the Phantom 5 that I have been waiting for?? LOL
A fellow NX1 owner! How ahead of the time was this camera!? As a GH5 and Ursa Mini Pro owner, I still find myself reaching for this camera often. It's a shame they never released an NX2.
Okay, sorry....not on topic. Yes, the addition of h.265 is actually really exciting for those of us who've been using it for years. I'm amazed at how long I can shoot and how little space I use up on my media. Even at 8bit, I often find myself preferring my h.265 footage over my h.264 GH5 footage. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this already added with the Phantom 4 Pro?
Oh God, I shouldn't summon the jinx demon, but I have not yet had any issues with my Ursa Mini Pro. It's really easy to use and the image is amazing. Considering BM has now been in the camera game for over 6 years, I think they've been good at correcting their very public blunders and learning from their mistakes. I bet they even hit their September delivery date.......well......let's not get TOO ahead of ourselves. lol
Can't wait to add this to my kit!
I love my Ursa Mini Pro. It's very versatile and creates an amazing image. Internal RAW recording, prores, higher bitrates, etc. The EVA1 is amazing as well, but it actually felt TOO light and plasticky to me. The dual ISO though,...... man that would be nice to have. It is true that the Ursa needs light. If you're shooting narrative and have the time to light properly it's great. If you find yourself needing to shoot with whatever light you have available......that dual ISO is killer. I have a GH5 and am thinking about picking up the GH5s just for that feature alone. I had my Ursa Mini Pro before the EVA1 was out, but personally if I had the choice to make again I'd still go Ursa. However, I really don't think you could go wrong either way. It's a great time to be a filmmaker. :)
Ya, ya cool, whatever. Where's my Phantom 5! lol ;)
Because there a lot of doc/event people that would love the lowlight and IBIS. I understand why it was omitted, but it's still a little disappointing for us.
