This was my first thought when I saw this "headline," the software that ships with your camera does this and always has...it's just that 99% of annoying YouTube people never bother to check the box.
Does that first sentence need an "interchangeable" instead of the second "integrated" perhaps?
I'm not sure I understand where these cameras fall in the Panasonic big picture...do they have smaller sensors and less features than the DVX200 but cost more? What did I miss? Do their lenses come off?
The embed has been blocked and no longer works, replace with a screenshot that's a link to YouTube, perhaps?
Do you have much experience with reddit? You might be surprised by how some niche subcultures behave there.
For example among the documentary lovers, there is often a valuable dissent from the norm. Just try lauding praise on the big budget box office success "King of Kong" sometime, and people will pop out of the woodwork immediately and point out all the ridiculous flaws, inaccuracies, and fabrications in it and tell you about "Chasing Ghosts" which interviews all the same people but didn't make past Showtime and VOD to the big screen. You wouldn't have learned that at any of 2007's festivals where "King of Kong" was a darling.
I've discovered all kinds of film through reddit, thanks specifically to the upvote/downvote model and subreddit behavior, that I never would have found out about from more traditional means. I don't think it's better necessarily, but I like having it around as well.
It's great to see Portland, OR mentioned here and everything the Hollywood does is wonderful...but don't forget about the Northwest Film Center as well! They have a "top down" series every summer that consists of many awesome outdoor screening events. It doesn't look like the schedule for this summer is up yet but here's what it looked like last year.
