Boards Comment – Star Wars Holiday Special: Watch it in All its Glory!

I've tried 3 times. I made it to right after the dance sequence, I think. It gets hazy. It was like being incredibly drunk and hung over. My eyes were seeing something my brain couldn't comprehend, and it was trying to protect itself by causing intense pain, nausea, anything to make me stop looking.

Article Comment – Tutorial: Do You Have $50? Then You Can Get Cinematic Lighting

I think of videos like this as jumping off point for an absolute newbie. For someone broke in HS who is just starting out. Just getting their hands on some materials is important. Work lights are cheap, come with stands, and they've got umph.

True though, par cans can be stupidly cheap

Article Comment – FujiFilm GFX 50S is a Mirrorless, Giant Sensor Beast with Movie Mode

Flange depth of 26.7mm. Most flange depths on medium format cameras are quite large because of the mirror, in the ~60-100mm range. It should be easy to adapt almost any lens to this system with a simple extension mount.

Hope there's a run on old medium lenses online, because I bought em up in advance anticipating demand ;)

Boards Comment – Does Anyone Have a Short Film Idea?

Shortly after college my friends and I made some fake book trailers and did video adaptations of our favorite short poems. It's a great way to work within constraints and also be creative!

Single room, 4 hours, a Director, Grip, Operator, Sound, Art, HMU, and an actor.
