You might be the first person I've seen comment favorably on the AJA Cion image.
Hi! I've never seen the videos, but I was on set for a few of his lighting tutorials, shooting setup breakdowns, and camera tests. Tons of good basic information, occasionally a few gems, and it's all vetted by his years of experience. If you're new and want to learn, it's a good resource. I'm partial to some of his write ups.
Haha, I just strolled onto a photoshoot this morning with a single LiteGear litemat, this is bizarrely on the nose. Lighting for photos is similar but different from motion pictures, it's fun.
This guy on reddit is liquidating his gear, this is an absolutely amazing deal. Comes with speedbooster for Nikon, batteries, media, cage. Shut up and give him your money!
This camera is amazing. Don't take my word for it:
I did something like this in about 15 minutes for a film at a summer camp for child actors. Side note, great way to get out of LA for a week haha
We had two guys offer the 'floating' girl an arm to brace herself on, then she just slowly lifted her legs up. We had her crouch slightly and stand up slowly while I tilted with her to make it look like she was floating.
oh man, I would've killed for slimraw back when I was shooting TB's worth of 5D III raw. That's amazing.
