Think Canon really have a problem with their product positioning. They should keep camera segments separate through pricing, not by restricting features on some cameras. When new possibilities can be added to cameras via firmware updates, these should be made available on all compatible cameras.

As you mention, you now have an issue owning a C100 which can't do 60p and I'm just as frustrated having to use Magic Lantern on my 5Dm3 to have basic features such as zebras and focus peaking (which I think you have on the C series). Not to mention the 4K which ML can provide...

It's about time Canon provided a proper firmware update policy for its existing customers, otherwise, over time people will start moving to other brands. Despite being in a difficult financial situation, Sony seems to be going the right way as far as their cameras are concerned.
