"Drone" is what it is, and "quad" is its shape. A "drone" can be a "biplane", "monoplane", "quad", "buggy", "submersible".
And since some of the drones have eight blades it is a more correct way to refer to a larger subset of remotely controlled flying cameras than a quad which in case of an eight blade contraption is not correct.
Agreed! The unmotivated camera movement is lately wherever you look. I have a pet peeve with a shaky camera look. Every two minutes of me watching either Breaking Bad or Zero Dark Thirty I get taken out of the immersion by an uncalled for camera shake leaving me to wonder how the heck the director thought this was motivated.
When I read the title I was like sure -- why a plane's captain should involve the flight attendants into plane piloting. Then I said hey, this guy made it to Cannes, so just shut up and read.
So I read and I I kind of do not feel the interview supports the title / the title correctly sums up the interview.
The directors have to edit their films. As long as the editors get to edit a story in all honesty they have to be called co-directors. Hmmm, a Director of Editing?
You feeling me on DoE?
I had it and had to get a different one. Namely, being a first time field monitor buyer I did not know what to look for. So after buying the VS-1 I sold it and bought a monitor that has the following features built-in: focus peaking, exposure zebra, histogram, and false color.
If you don't need those features than this monitor would probably work for you. But! The chances are that you do need those features :)
Guy, got any more shorts you like you can share? This one is not my cup of tea, although will acknowledge the creativity.
I am hoping for a curated selection that I am sure the rest of the board will appreciate :))
