Completely agree, for documentary in most cases less is more.

Ehm, are you suggesting Sony colour science is better? Panasonic colour is alright. For the Super 35 look you can use a focal reducer. Any lenses can be adapted easily.

True, and they also record a backup track at lower gain.. Still, not having any control or even visual feedback on what's happening, I wouldn't feel safe.
