I say hit ebay and pick up a GH4 with vlog for under $1000 depending on which one you come across and then invest a tad more into a rokinon lens and be good to go
Thanks for the response Andrey. I shoot with the Sony a7 and I will be filming a car show that takes place all through the city so it would be nice to have a little longer reach in some instances where I wouldn't be able to physically catch up with the car.
The 70-200 is out of the question now. For the event I will be renting a Movi M5 and I discovered that the 70-200 wouldn't balance properly with the gimbal, the lens is simply too long and too heavy. I'm now thinking about going with a Sony FE 24-70 f2.8
I am neither in film school nor film school graduate. I'm still in high school but personally, I feel that with the increased use and importance of social media, it's a lot easier for indie filmmakers and any creative in general to find and collaborate with others that have similar interests and aspirations. I myself have met and worked with tons of people through use of Instagram and Facebook groups.
About how long did it take you to get to that position?
