I had the honor of working with Steve on a commercial many years ago. It was in the early days of digital and pre-shotput software. He was kind enough to teach me how to use linux commands through terminal to verify complete backup of video files. His technical knowledge coupled with his ability to light blew me away.

Article Comment – Odyssey7Q Monitor/Recorder Finally Gets 4K ProRes Support in New Firmware Update

Got all excited today to test out my 7q and a7s and couldn't get an image to the odyssey. I sat there for an hour trying to get things to work. Almost started crying when I saw this in the new 7q manual..... What a bummer.

"4K video currently supported over 4x SDI, not 2x 3G-SDI or HDMI."
