You mentioned SmallRig, they're great. Solid, solid stuff at a price you cannot beat. The only thing that is con with their stuff is that the coating on the metal isn't the best as well as the fact that it can be a bit difficult with compability with some parts. They've got great e-mail support to make sure everything works, though. But get their Quick Cage Kit and rosette handles with bar and you've got an awesome kit. That's at least what I'm planning to get. They've also got an actual shoulder pad.
That monitor/recorder actually looks interesting, great price!
I don't think you need a higher res EVF. It is higher resolution than the Gratical, and that one is bonkers good!
They're really expanding their range, and that's great! I'm just hoping it has got a good enough focus throw, my 24mm is a bit short IMO - I miss focus when I'm close to infinity all the time.
IMO, The Lord of the Rings trilogy did a great job mixing SFX and VFX. If if could be done in a great way it was SFX, if not, VFX and so on. The Hobbit took it waaaay too far, and it felt fake and lazy.
It wouldn't work as it would vignette as crazy, I believe.
