That Kendy Ty showreel looked great. You know what would make it look better? Global shutter and 4k. At a certain point it's El Mariachi syndrome, low budget for the sake of low budget.
They're saving 10 bit 4:2:2 for the HVX reboot. Actually it doesn't really matter, this is a camcorder not a cinema cam. 10 years ago they were the same thing, today not so much.
From the video it's clear that the filmmakers aren't huge fans of focus charts, doesn't look like they're big fans of white balance or skin tones either. Next time use a Macbeth or a One-Shot it will make it way easier to nail the colors.
It's eight minutes before the essay begins, then it starts by quoting Waler Murch and then never returns to the "rule of six" and instead is a commentary on what is by and large first year editing theory. Nothing poignant or insightful is presented in 30 minutes. Tony Zhou must be on vacation, I grade this "essay" a D, the movie gets a solid A+.
