.....or lower the backlight so it provides a more direct bounce and less top light.

Article Comment – Here Are a Few Easy, Great Looking Ways to Light an Interview with Inexpensive Gear

@filmriot Let's keep it real. If you want to say "hey here's how to make a $20 bounce" cool. Let's not pretend that there's not at least 3k worth of lighting and grip in this simple setup.

Article Comment – ARRI Will Give You More Control Over Lens Flares with Their New Master Anamorphic Flare Sets

It's interesting how what would be considered a defect of a spherical lens is actually a big part of what most anamorphic shooters like. Arri's anamorphics are so good they had to include adapters to crap them up to give DPs them more of the anamorphic character they've grown to love. I wonder if one of those adapter sets increases the breathing.

Article Comment – Placing Lav Mics on Talent Can Be Super Awkward: Here's How the Pros Do It

Amber alert. Look at the body language, even the girl paid for the demo in the thumbnail is recoiling in horror. Allow me to phantom cup your breast while I trace the mic path on your body. If there's this much comic gold in the rest of the package I might just buy it. My wife and I were cracking up.

Article Comment – Go Way Behind the Scenes of the Insane 'Power/Rangers' Bootleg Fan Film

It was a cool short, I enjoyed it, but this guy is a thief pure and simple. His "bootleg" Venom story an "homage" to Man Bites Dog, give me a break. He uses others IP for publicity and then cries "free speech" when he gets sued. It's one thing for a bunch of nerds to get together in the garage and make a fan film, it's something totally different for a hollywood producer looking to helm the next franchise. Wait I've got an idea we'll do the Spider Man arc "Kraven's Last Hunt" and tell it backwards like Memento........as an homage of course and we'll hire Tobey Maguire, not that I want to promote myself, just for funsies.

Article Comment – The FAA Wants You to Get a Pilot's License Before Operating a Drone (No, Seriously)

Which falls faster a 5 pound drone or a fifty pound one? Wait until the production insurance companies get involved, the money spent on training will seem trivial by comparison.
