Sounds interesting but I'm guessing the fact there is only 3 cameras would cause quite a lot of parallax
Great article. I'm one of the first people in the UK to offer 360 degree video for commercial and corporate video use.
We use the 360heros pro7 as we were advised by them that having more cameras means we can film closer to walls and foreground objects with less parallax. Perfect for indoor recording in small spaces.
Still very much getting used to the setup and it's pretty annoying how the technology doesn't yet quite match up to the professional standards we can offer with standard corporate video but there seems to be a lot of interest out there for this thing. I think Facebook, Star Wars and James Bond have all helped to create hype through their online 360 trailers and look around the sets.
If anyone is interested in talking about this in more detail we'd be happy to chat. www.envisionproductions.co.uk.
Looking forward to what the future holds!
Definitely not anything shot by Danny Boyle. This is a recent pic taken in the last few days in Norway where principle photography has just begun
