I would suggest you a different option: Sony A6000. To my eyes, it has better image quality in video and for still too. Advantages are: Small and light, great electronic viewfinder and screen, great image quality and codec, 1080p60fps in video 24mpx photos, E mount more versatile that EF mount. For the price I think you can't go wrong. I have to mention that I'm used a Canon 600D for the past 2 years.
Personally, I hate people talking everyday about these terms you mentioned instead of filming things. Everybody is so worried about technical quality, but so little about content quality.
I didn't even read the post. I'm here to say that the Rule of Thirds sucks all the way. Cheers.
Go shoot. Sounds typical, artistic and irreal, but it just works. Keep on reading these kind of forums and webs and you're ready. Analyze films too, and film analysis. Read the book from Truffaut about his Hitchcock's interviews and the one from Tarkovsky "Sculpting time" or something like that in english. Cheers.
+1 to the first comment. Just take good care about the design :D
Get cinelenses, 24-70 is kinda crappy for video.
