Exactly, like what else would they do? I think EF is great, there are so many high quality options out there now without ever touching canon products, who cares if Canon updated their lens mount...
I would definitely recommend adding Video Co-pilots, FX Console. It's free and really works great. Link here: https://www.videocopilot.net/blog/2018/05/fx-console-updated-to-v1-0-3/
I would also recommend adding to this list True Comp Duplicator. It's free (but donate if you can) and is sooooo handy for duplicating complicated comps with tons of precomps nested inside them. It even copies scripts and everything. Link Here: https://aescripts.com/true-comp-duplicator/
Okay so defend TLJ as legitimate good film, go...
I can't help but be mad over the abomination of TLJ, and therefore can't help but not like Rian Johnson. So much of that film was just not put together. I get that you want to go outside the box and surprise people or make a statement, but what came out of that movie? A lack of character development, long winded wasteful VFX scenes, and hardly smirk worthy punch lines.
All prejudice aside I'm sure he's okay to work with, but he was clearly not the right person for this job. He seems like the dude who just wants to flip tables and then tell everyone that it needed to be flipped, even though it was your family dinner table with a home cooked meal on top.
I'm going to go ahead and say that the CP3s should not be on this list. The CP2s are god awful! We had them for about a month and realized how bad the CA was. When we contacted Zeiss about it all they said was "all lenses have CA..." really? Please.... Don't go Zeiss CPs they blow............... Oh and here's a video we made to prove it..... https://vimeo.com/orangetreeps/review/193797089/c10926ee76
As a VFX artist, this would be so awesome for compositing for live action. So much more control! Does this basically make roto artist's position obsolete? The VFX field is already flooded with talent, but would this cut jobs down even further or create new ones?
