The first line is gold. And it will lead to more and better work if you adhere to it. Here's how it's stated on sets on the west coast: early is on time, on time is late, and late is f#cked up! The small talk (and intel) before a shoot is so valuable. Plus the cost of even being perceived to be a little late or not ready is huge. Don't make the crew wait on you ever. That goes for pretty much all roles.
It's true. The scaling and framing of shots in Vegas is so fast, intuitive, and amazing. I get frustrated that others don't implement several Vegas features.
