I've got a 3.3ghz i7, with 8 Gigs of ram, and a 1 gb video card and I can run 4K Video pretty seamlessly. It gets a little chunky when I'm working with a big library of video, or have a lot of effects applied. But it's doable.
You're not going to notice too much of a visual difference between 10 bit and 8 bit...It's when you start pushing the image around in post that you will find that the 10 bit can be pushed around a lot more before it falls apart.. as the 8 bit will fall apart very quickly, especially with VLOG
800 ISO eh? I would never have guessed that... was your exposure the same for each shot (did you stop down each time you brought your ISO up?)
I have found the grading with VLOG has a lot better results as well, it's the color rendition the profile has, skin tones, and greens turn out a lot nicer than the mushy results I've been getting from Cine-D
That's exactly what I did, I set my exposure with the levels, which ended up being the underexposed shot, Then I set it up again and used my zebra filter to expose and it it looked a lot nicer.
Yes, I over exposed...according to the in camera levels anyways.
My next purchase is definitely going to be the Atomos Ninja Assassin. Recently I've found that 8-bit footage just isn't enough for me.
