Making montages and docos for the fun of it with the occasional job in between.
This whole video was kind of conceived and shot in about 3 hours when I was hanging out with friends and they started showing off. What I'm asking is sort of more along the lines of what kind of shots can I try to make the action look more interesting so I can practice camera movement and lighting.
I want to make as many films as possible and most of my experience is in wedding videography and corporate talking head advertisements. When I'm getting paid for my films there are obviously less opportunities to be experimental and creative because I won't always have an opportunity to get a back up shot.
In the future when I get more into planning dramatic short films and sketches and such, obviously the story is fundamental and the cinematography is there to show the story in the best way possible. With short random clips like this, there isn't really a story to tell.
I'm hoping to get some more specific suggestions. How feasible would it be to buy a bunch of FD lenses and adapters?
