I wish sponsored content was more clearly separated from regular articles. It's very frustrating to read through an "article" just to find out it's a paid ad. think it greatly reduces NFS's credibility.
Great article Oren! I need a new reel at some point, and this is some great information.
I've been anxiously awaiting that Indian reel since you mentioned it on the podcast. Hilarious! Did you notice he actually "credited" you at the veeeeeerrrryyyyy end? For about a second in the lower right-hand corner.
Hedge is a pretty good option, though the (one-time) license purchase costs quite a bit more.
Oi, amiga! I know you posted this was a while ago, but have you tried entering your screenplays into any festivals? A lot of festivals let writers submit their scripts for little-to-no money - might be a good start. Otherwise, I'd suggest getting involved in Facebook groups for filmmaking, screenwriting and producing. It's a good way to network, and they often have some great ideas for getting your work out there. If you're able to, look for local filmmakers and see if they'd like to produce your screenplays (especially for short films). Once you've got something produced, it might be easier to pitch your future products as well. Best of luck!
The stated 30-minute recording limit is only applicable to footage shot in 4k Fine 29.97p. That's an important distinction, as people who shoot weddings will likely be able to film longer events at lower (but still great) quality.
