I understand your reference to Betacam, nonetheless Sony soon rework the format and it became Betacam, eventually Digi Beta, HDCAM SR. Maybe the Insta 360 is not the most fantastic 360 camera in the world but it is a nice step in the right direction. Not a big fan of 360 myself, but I keep an eye (two for 3D) on it.
