Article Comment – Reelhouse Paves the Way for the Future of Self-Distribution

Does anyone have any new information on Reelhouse? We have recently had issues with customers trying to view our films there. Apparently the customer pays but the film is not available for viewing nor do we have any record of the rental. Both the customer and us contacted Reelhouse and neither of us has got any reply. The facebook page looks like it hasn't been updated for years.

I hate to say this but I'm concerned at this point. I also don't understand why Filmmakers who have the most money and time invested into any particular film have to also be the ones to Babysit everyone else. That isn't right. if you are having internal issues with your company, the least you could do is let someone know about it ahead of time.

Article Comment – Reelhouse Paves the Way for the Future of Self-Distribution

Old post but thought I would add my two cents here. Distrify still owes my company money. They owed us money which was clearly listed in our account on their site. They then switched up their website and backend and then the monies owed Disappeared. We could still see the money owed via a backdoor link into their original site but they never bothered to pay us. After repeated inquiries with them that lead nowhere, we dropped them permanently. I would not do business with them again. If it were practically possible, we would have pursued them further. As it is, pursuing someone in another country is not something which can be easily done- even if you have the evidence of wrongdoing right from their own records.
