Article Comment – Wait, How Many Lenses Did 'WandaVision' Use on Their ARRI Alexa?

Nice but wish the show wasn’t so super hard to get into. I couldn’t last 3 mins and I quite like Marvel. Sitcoms as cinematic episodic tv is a really hard sell.

Article Comment – How Is TCM Tackling Problematic Films? By Showing and Talking About Them

So now we’re going to trawl through the entirety of history and have a sensitive dialogue about everything down to caveman cave paintings and apologize because some caveman painted a woman’s tits... the rate things are going, the next generation will need comfort blankets for their entire lives.

Article Comment – How Do These Snyder Cut Scenes Compare to the Released 'Justice League' Scenes?

I like Snyder’s aesthetic. DC movies have a far more cinematic and darker feel than Marvels bland look and that’s in large part due to his influence but the aspect ratio is a real bummer for something that is designed for home viewing. We all have big TVs these days but squinting at a small square? Kind of the same waste of time as Ang Lee / Peter Jackson high frame rate nonsense. I was super into this new take but now not sure I’ll bother.

Article Comment – Gina Carano Wasn't Blacklisted, She Was Fired for Being Bad for Business

Her post is just an opinion.... the fact that a fringe radical element are forcing the extreme censorship of opinions is terrifying. If you don’t like her opinion then stop watching ‘The Mandalorian’. I would bet everything that I own that viewing figures would not be impacted one fraction of a percent if she stayed with the show.
When are rational people going to stand up against this assault on freedom of speech and freedom of expression? Literally killing off careers and people for things said decades ago in different eras. All this 1984 thought policing creates is more animosity, it literally drives people into the arms of hardcore conservatives. Insane times, huge backlash is for sure coming as a vociferous minority cannot forever dictate how the majority live their lives.
Not once did her post actually say anything racist. Is her comparison over the top. Sure. Probably not the best comparison given the horrendous suffering involved but it’s just her opinion and she has to live with that.

Article Comment – Are You a Bane Appreciator? Make Your Modified Voice Known!

Original comic book Bane was a much stronger version that the Dark Night version. Although those movies are insanely good, I was disappointed by how Bane was portrayed.

Article Comment – Russell Crowe Defends Peter Weir and 'Master and Commander'

A real classic movie. Amazing, wish they’d made another. The source books are incredible.
