Have you seen Icarus on Netflix? A guy set out to make a documentary on his testing of the effects of performance doping on himself. While filming, one thing led to another and he uncovered the Russian doping scandal. Just a good example of how a documentary can adapt while it's being made
How long would that take? What's the pay like? Is it just filming? Or editing too?
Thanks to all those that got back to me. I look forward to trying some of these out. After seeing such a wide range of answers it amazes me that none of the editing programs have improved on this over the years. And it also boggles my mind that spell check is still a missing feature
I use the 18-200, 3.5-6.3 that came with my Sony FS700. I have some faster Nikon lenses that i could use but having that versatility is too amazing to put down.
There's a plugin called plural eyes that will sync all your footage for you. Except you would still have to do the clip without the shotgun mic manually. Besides that their really isn't a magic workflow. Without using multiclip i would just stack them up in a sequence and if it gets too crazy for your CPU then just make layers invisible when you work to use less RAM. Once you get you dialogue cut then go back and worry about which shot to use.
