A lot of what happens next depends on how successful the new Covid-19 vaccines work. If they are successful, we could see a resurgence in movie-going by next fall. The problem will be if theater chains can avoid going out of business until then.
I thought Dolby Vision was 12bit.
I could see this used for dubbing movies with face/mouth accurate dialogue.
From a filmmakers point of view, would be interesting to compare to the Sony Experia 1 which has 3 lenses, 21:9 option and 10bit 4:2:2 video capture. Saw a recent review on youtube that was pretty impressive. (No I don't work for Sony, just curious). The Sony goes for under 1K USD and uses MicroSD cards for storage.
