I'm a liberal and I don't think she deserved the ax. I'm Jewish and I didn't find her Nazi comparison offensive, just hyperbolic. I think this basically amounts to censorship and that it's dangerous when corporations have huge power over what you say in your personal life. I'm not categorically against firing people for what they say on social media, but I think it has gone too far.
I think it's categorically wrong to yell at your employees this way. He could have imparted all the same information and made the same warning about firing them in a civil manner. I appreciate where he's coming from, but that doesn't make it ok to behave like this. It's not about the justification because there is no justification.
My interpretation of Land's reduser posts is that Komodo will cost $6k regularly, $5k for Hydrogen owners, and $7k for a special white "stormtrooper" edition. I'm not sure if the stormtrooper has different specs.
They should probably be broken up by anti-trust law. With great power comes great market manipulation.
So well put. Along those lines, I feel that we live in a very conformist era and people feel comfortable expressing allegiance to movies and characters that they already think everyone else likes. And they're essentially children's films, so there is a very low bar for thematic complexity and understanding.
I remember the reaction of some white people I know to seeing "Get Out" - they called it "weird" and it clearly made them uncomfortable. But it was such a great movie that it made a huge splash and they had to see it. We need more of that.
